Widex India Private Limited - Warranty Policy

The WIDEX product is guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of purchase against any defect in material & production except batteries. It becomes null & void if the hearing aid has been maltreated or if repairs, if any, have not been made by an authorized WIDEX Service Centre.

1) When service is required, the warranty is validated by the submission of a fully completed warranty card which was marked with Model name, Serial no., Date of purchase, Customer name, and Dispenser name & address at the point of Service.

OR

The copy of Invoice/Sales receipt (Indicating the Invoice number and date of purchase, product type and dealer/dispenser name).

2) Warranty on spare parts replaced like Amplifier, Microphone & Receiver shall be upto 6 months from the date of undertaking repairs.

3) The Extended Warranty (Annual Maintenance Contract) terms are same as original warranty terms with validity only in India.
  

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

• Malfunction, defect or failure caused by or resulting from the evidence of Impact, Mishandling, Tampering, use contrary to the applicable instruction manual, fire, floods or other acts of god, shipping damage or damage resulting from repairs performed by unauthorized personnel without the knowledge or approval of WIDEX.
• Mechanical damage caused due to accident or normal Wear & Tear.
  
• Exposure of hearing aid to direct heat from hair dryer, microwave oven or any hot surface.
  
• Exposure of hearing aid to Water and chemicals such as rain, swimming, excessive ear wax secretion, perspiration, hair spray, perfume etc.
  
• Use of wrong battery size/Type or wrong insertion of battery into hearing aid.
  
• Used or dead battery not removed from hearing aid and corrosion caused by battery leakage.
  
• Replacement of the parts under the agreement shall not include items such as (i) Battery cell (ii) Earmoulds/Tips (v) Ear hooks (viii) any missing parts.

WIDEX reserves the right to amend and delete any of the above terms and conditions within this document as and when necessary without prior notice whatsoever.
  

24 Months World Wide Warranty

All Widex Hearing Aids & FM System sold in India are warranted against defect in material production workmanship except batteries for period of 24 months from the date of purchase of the hearing aid. This warranty specially does not cover:

1. Damage caused due to battery leakage.

2. Widex World Wide Warrantee covers only cost of repairs and / defect parts. It does not cover the cost of any professional service provided by the Widex dispenser for reprogramming / counseling etc.

3. Accidental damage or if opened by unauthorized person.

HEARING AID EXTENDED WARRANTY / MAINTENANCE CONTRACT DETAILS

Widex India Private Limited is pleased to offer the following Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) to the following hearing aid services.

You may choose to extend the warranty on your Hearing Aid up to 3 years more.

Period indicates the period of contract starting on the date of signing of this contract or the date of receipt of payment, whichever is later.
  

Terms & Conditions:

1) Hearing aid will be accepted for maintenance contract only if found OK by our engineer(s). Decision of WIPL on maintainability and acceptance of WIPL is entirely at the discretion of WIPL and cannot be challenged.

2) The hearing aid to be maintained in the maintenance agreement along with the maintenance charges for the period stated therein.

3) This agreement does not give rise to any obligation to WIPL arising directly or indirectly from the use or performance of the hearing aid.

4) Replacement of the parts under the agreement shall not include the consumable and other items such as but not limited to the following: (i) Ear hook, (ii) Battery cell, (iii) All ear moulds /tips.

5) This agreement extends only to problems arising out of normal functioning of the equipment and does not cover breakdown or service or spare parts cost, arising out of whether partly or wholly misuse of the equipment or its use under environmental conditions either out of any damages due to fire, theft, riots, flood, accidents and under exceptional circumstances.

6) Dealer’s signature does not constitute a commitment to accept on behalf of WIPL till specially countersigned and accepted by WIPL.

7) Tax / Vat extra as applicable.

User’s Instructions:

1. Do not get your hearing aids wet.

2. Use De-humidifier kit for storing hearing aids to prevent damage from moisture.

3. Do not expose your hearing aids to extreme heat.

4. Do not drop and not to try take hearing aids apart.

5. Get your hearing aids checked regularly at your dispenser.

6. Clean the ear mould regularly.

7. Only clean with a dry cloth.
